I keep a LiveJournal but don't have a static source for storing pictures. That and a fondness for babble mean I'm setting up this journal to note stuff going on, with pictures, and keep and share electronic record of my arts. And what-not.

2004/06/22 - Loved what Eliza said this day in the middle of a rant about not getting stuck saving fancy expensive art materials, or stopping oneself from making art because of price of materials (I guess I'm adding in my own usual Make Art manifesto values and takeaways here: what got me to jump up and go paint was the phrase "I've always been of the mind that people who really want to make art can make great art out of crayons and ketchup packets if they want to. The materials are just a vehicle." So here's what I did...

2004/06/21 - A good start on the Dance webpage Lise has been hungering for and making notes towards for a while now. I should use background colors to frame things more often; I'm perhaps TOO fond of the clean look of the white screen, elsewhere.

2004/06/15 - I finally decided to join the delightful folk who set up a daily art- making challenge in May concurrent with ABTI; now that ABTI is done, I've started being active in the AAAD group. There's a yahoogroup and a LiveJournal community each connecting players in this project.

2004/05/17 - Mandalas were the Art by the Inch challenge of the day on May 17, 2004,, and I've done four of them this evening. A loveliness after a day of housecleaning in anticipation of this week's guests: an art buddy visiting back to this neck of the woods, and over Saturday, a member of the Mendocino based Lark Camp English Country Dance Band; they'll be playing the Experienced ECD in Berkeley on Saturday night. Plus it felt REALLY good to unpack from Sunday's art show. Ahhh.
